Port Gentil

Next Wednesday our boat will reach the port of Port Gentil in Gabon. It’s a very gentle place to stay, I heard. It’s like an island, with water on one side and rain-forest on the other. The road does not go very far! We may reach the town by boat or by a small plane connecting the place to Libreville. There are two hotels and places to Europeans (i.e. people with money).
Till there, we will be working on a dead calm sea, in a hot and humid air,… inside an air-conditioned comfy boat. We are not reached by mosquitoes, but huge and beautiful butterflies.

Na proxima quarta-feira vamos fazer escala em Port Gentil, no Gabão. Segundo quem sabe, trata-se de um local muito acolhedor. E como uma ilha, com o mar de um lado, e a floresta tropical do outro. A unica Estrada não é muito longa. Para là se chegar, ou para de là se sair, so de barco ou então num pequeno avião assegurando a ligação para Libreville (a cidade livre !!), capital do Gabão. Em Port Gentil hà dois lugares destinados a clientes europeus (isto é, gente com dinheiro). Até là, vamos continuar a trabalhar num mar liso, numa r quente e humido, mas num barco confortavel e coma r condicionado. Não hà mosquitos mas estamos sufisiente proximos da costa (invisivel) para receber a visita de imensas e magnificas borboletas.
