Honfleur

O toldo vermelho é onde tomo os meus pequnos almoços antes de ir dar as aulas. Por vezes tambem paro ali para jantar antes de atacar a estrada. é um dos poucos sitios em França onde se pede beber um bom capuccino. Até o preço faz pensar na praça de São Marco...
Honfleur é o contrario do Havre. é uma cidade muito bonita, muito cara, cheia de bela galerias de arte, de parisienses em fim de semana e ingleses de férias. é um local tão "preservado" que se torna artificial.
That's the place I usually take my breakfast at Honfleur before crossing La Seine and join my students at Le Havre (15 mnutes driving from here). Tha B&W picture is an old picture of the view from the café... it stays quite the same. Honfleur is certainly a posh place. But you can find there a relly nice capuccino. The price is the same as at San Marcos' square... but here the Acqua Alta is twice a day. I like to have a walk around the uncountable art galleries (the hiden ones are not bad!!). At the same time the city is so "preserved" that becomes very artificial.
Worth a visit...
