Esta vez estivemos um mês inteiro na quinta. E estàvamos prontos para um mês inteiro de muito muito calor. Foi com alguma surpresa que dscobrimos à chegada que ainda havia uns restos de primavera. A chuva foi tardia este ano. Por isso tivemos a surpresa de ter poços com bastante agua, bastantes zonas com alguma erva ainda verde e diante da casa uma vegetação bastante vigorosa e vivaz. Deu para viver a transição alentejano entre os verdes e os amarelos.
This time we stayed a full month in the farm. We were ready to live all July with temperatures up to the hundreds; It was with surprise that we discovered that Spring was still there and the rain had stayed longer this year. So we found that we had quite a lot of water in the wells, some still-green areas where it would usually be dried out scrub and an amazing display of vegetation in the herb-and-flower-walls in front of the house. Look at that lavender only planted last year! This time we witnessed for ourselves the regional yearly transition from greens to yellows.
