A Ayva gosta muito de livros. De hà umas semanas para cà gosta muito de se sentar e folhear livros atràs de livros. Por vezes conta o que hà nas imagens, por outras encena a leitura à sua boneca. O exercicio repete-se na cama, onde ela dorme desde a semana passada (acabou-se o berço).
Ayva likes books. In tha last weeks she really likes to sit on the floor and have a look on some books, one after one. Some times she tolds us what is in the images other times she tells long storys to her baby-doll. Samething at bed, at the big bed, where she's sleeping since last week. No more baby bed!!
Mas este intersse repetido pela leitura infantil não eleminou um interesse mais antigo por textos arduos, e destinados aos adultos. E conhecido que o livro preferido da Ayva foi muito tempo "Paisagem urbana" de Gordon Cullen. Um livro de urbanismo que estava propositadamente esquecido na prateleira de baixo da estante do corredor. Por isso achàmos, erradamente, que a sua preferencia se devia apenas ao facil acesso desse livro e ao facto de conter imensos desenhos, de arquitetura, mas desenhos. Grande erro de minimização.
But the repeated interest for children books did not stop a previous interest for more difficult reading, destinated for educated adults. It was known that Ayva's favourite book used to be "Townscape" from Gordon Cullen. An urban-planning book that was intentionally forgotten in tha lower lever of one of the bookshelfs. That's why we wrongly thought that Ayva's preference was merely associated with the easy access and the drawnings (technical, but drawnings anyway). That was a severe error of minimization.
Nos ultimos dias a Ayva, se calhar menos ceptica que os seus pais, decidiu ler o programa do Partido Socialista françês par as eleições de 2007. Leitura lirica sobre a qual ela veio varias vezes. Temos uma filha às direitas ;-)
In the last days Ayva, perhaps less nihilistic than her parents, decided to pay some interest to reading the program for the 2007 presidential elections of the French Socialist Party (i.e. New-Labour). A lyric texte that she restart reading several times. Yes, we have a daughter that is one the right wing ;-)
Mas a politica é uma coisa facil de perceber. Por isso a Ayva atacou hoje um novo livro que se chama "Pensar a matematica". Isto promete ;-(
But politics is quite easy after all. So Ayva started another book today very consciously... it is called "Thinking mathematics". Hard to believe ;-(
