AtteeeeenTION!! Ayva at work.

As you may know, Mummy Quince started working as an English teacher in a very singular environment at the start of the school year, at the Naval Training Centre in Brest. Although very much a civilian still, she does have one or two obligations with a military flavour during the year , for example, last Saturday morning she had to attend the Flag Ceremony, when all this semester's trainee petty officers are presented with their flag and are inspected by various passing captains or commanders or whatever (reminded Mummy Q of uniform inspection at Guide meetings, some of you will remember those!). Ayva was also invited to attend, especially as there were no babysitters available, so along she came! The bit she most enjoyed apart from the brass band at the end, was before the cremony in the staff-room while Mummy was having coffee with her colleagues and the deputy-head took her into the office to do some work-experience (got to start young these days ;)!), stamping important documents and giving out permission slips.
